"Thanks Charlie"

Christen Eagle

This colorful print is a tribute to the late Charlie Hillard in his famous Christen Eagle biplane. With Charlie in the lead, the Eagles Flight Demonstration Team thrilled millions of airshow crowds in cluding Oshkosh over the years with their precision formation aerobatics. Charlie was the first American to win the world aerobatics championship. In 1979, Charlie, Gene Soucy, and Tom Poberezney formed the Eagles Aerobatic Team, which they would fly as for more than 25 years, setting the record for the longest-running aerobatic team with the same members in the world. Thanks for the memories Charlie!
